TIPS FOR BABY WEARING
I know it's a mother's instinct to wrap a baby in layer upon layer when venturing outside in the colder months, but carrying your baby - whether it be in a sling or carrier inside your own coat - can usually be plenty warm enough.
Dress your little one in their ordinary indoor winter clothing and pop them into the carrier, making sure they are positioned correctly and secure, of course.
If you still have a maternity coat or something that is bump friendly and warm, do that up around baby to keep them snug as a bug.
If you don't want them on the inside of your jacket or you are back carrying older babies/toddlers, then do dress them accordingly. I would say in their usual winter outerwear without any scarves. secure them into their slings and away you go.
Be sure to choose sensible flat shoes when you are carrying your baby. Ideally something with great sole grip in case you walk on a slightly slippery or uneven surfaces.
